Within view of the scenic Beartooth Mountains, Don and Mary Ulrich raised some outstanding leopard Appaloosas that will leave indelible images in your mind of what old, proven bloodlines can produce for future generations. Ulrich's Monarch is a product of that breeding program and represents the work of breeders like John Taylor of Wolf Point, Montana, and such notable horses as Peter K., Navajo's Candy, Red Eagle, Simcoe's Sarcee, and Morgan's Leopard.

A special thank you to Karen (Kaite) Nighthorse for sharing these photos of a "bright spot" in her life (and I hope she doesn't mind the captions).
"To me, the Appaloosa isn't about size, or maybe not even color, it's about the history of a people, preserved in a beautiful animal."
