By American Eagle's Wyakin and out of Little Ena (AQHA), Christi Fury was foaled in 1965. The chestnut stallion, owned by James Hughes of Clyde, New York, is best known for his speed and agility in the games events. Holding registers of merit in the Camas Prairie stump race, rope race and the Nez Perce stake race himself, Christi Fury has sired 20 performance point earners who've accumulated more than 1517.5 performance points. Siring 81 foals in all, Christi Fury's progeny have earned 26 ROMs, six bronze medallions, seven superior achievement certificates, four performance superior event awards and one versatility championship. Throughout his life, Christi Fury was an outstanding ambassador for the breed through his visibility, versatility and color. Completing Christi Fury's resume is the title of 1972 World champion performance horse. In addition, the stallion took World championships in the Nez Perce stake race and Camas Prairie stump race in 1972 and went on to win the 1977 reserve National Champion judged calf roping and place third in the rope race at the same show. in 1980, he placed third in both the rope race and Nez Perce stake race and sixth in heading and heeling at the National Show. A truly versatile athlete, Christi Fury also qualified as a World Show contender in calf roping, senior trail, senior English pleasure, Western pleasure and senior reining. Notable get include National and World champions Double Christi, Fury's Apache Slam, and National champions Fury's Hank, Fury's Sun Apache and Christi Fury Rose -- all bronze medallion winners. {The above article and photographs
