At the 36th National Appaloosa Horse Show (1983), RH Macho was the Nation's Best Appaloosa, being named the champion senior horse, champion English horse, champion pleasure horse, and champion all-around performance horse.

His 1983 National Show accomplishments include:  National Champion - Hunter Hack, Working Hunter, and Side Saddle. Other top-ten finishes at that show include: Pleasure Driving (2 of 17), Senior Hunt Seat Pleasure (4 of 58), Ladies' Costume (8 of 10), and Open Jumper (2 of 13). Dotti Towsend of Turlock, California, rode for owner Ray Ledbetter of Diamond Bar, California.

The stallion continued his winning ways at the 1983 Appaloosa World Championhips, being named World Champion in Senior Hunt Seat Pleasure and Hunter Hack. In 1988, RH Macho was the National Champion Suitability for Dressage Stallion.
