Following a series of health problems, renowned race and show stallion Stayready Bull (Mr Spotted Bull x Silent Hope AQHA) was humanely destroyed on July 2 (1997). Foaled in Texas in 1975, Stayready Bull was owned by Leslie Dziewa of CeeZee Colors & Spots R On Us Farm, Clay Center, Kansas. (Added note: Now Leslie Chapman of Chapman Versatitily Horses and Dogs). The stallion was the first horse ever to win the first two jewels in the Appaloosa Triple Crown: the Kansas Sunflower Classic Futurity at Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the Texas Appaloosa Futurity at Sunland Park, New Mexico, in 1977. He placed third in the final race, the World-Wide Futurity at Albuquerque, New Mexico. Also as a two-year-old, he was the leading money-winner, earning $44,167.88, a bronze medallion and the 1977 champion two-year-old race colt title. Stayready Bull sired 110 registered Appaloosa foals, three of which won East Central regional race awards: Stayready Freddie, out of Bright Machelle S; Bull Royal, out of Keki Angel TB; and Valley Shaker, out of Miss Bright Music. Three of his get earned ROMs in racing: Stayready Freddie; Velocity, out of Shady's Crimson Lady; and Wild-N-Ready, out of Jan Straw. In addition to racing honors, Stayready Bull accumulated show points in both halter and performance and earned a ROM in senior hunter under saddle. His get earned ROMs in: senior reining, Jasper Lee Crabb, out of Sports Officer; halter Ms. Skip The Bull, out of Bright Machelle S; and Camas prairie stump race, Sandia Pass, out of Roman Twig, and Stay Indiscreet, out of Rash Alibi TB.
